San Antonio, Texas residents have a variety of options to consider when looking for ways to reduce their heating and cooling utility costs. Below are some of the options available in the San Antonio area for Air Conditioning tax rebates and credits.


New Braunfels Utilities – offers a rebate for those residents who install a split system air conditioning unit and/or a heat pump that has a minimum SEER rating of 16 or, if installing a packaged air and heat pump system, a 15 SEER rating.

The available rebate is between $250 and $500 depending on the SEER rating installed. Apply directly at New Braunfels Utilities.

One of the best ways to get tax rebates and savings is to turn to CPS Energy. The energy company provides various energy saving rebates including these, all of which you can apply to directly through CPS Energy.
Air Conditioner – The amount of the rebate is dependent on the overall seasonable energy efficiency rating ratio (SEER), with central units having at least a 15.0 rating. This upgrade applies to home improvement or retrofit projects only and must be installed by a licensed HVAC contractor.
CPS Energy also provides rebates for air flow, attic insulation, green shade trees, new construction projects, pool pumps, and refrigerator recycling.
